Post Tankage Story

 photo 5526228-portrait-of-young-asian-male-intensely-enjoying-a-shower-and-running-water-with-eyes-closed-and-arms_zps475729af.jpg

I came home that evening still feeling sticky and (hell there's no other word for it) yucky. That's how you would feel after going up six (6) tanks, three (3) which I needed to climb twice. It's even at the time the the sun is already up. Even though its before noon; Since we are wearing protective equipment, it is...

H O T - HOT!!!!

Even though I brought an extra shirt as change since I anticipated that I will have that icky feeling, it was not enough to remove that uncomfortableness.

I entered my unit's bathroom. A couple of more sighs to relieve that grotesque icky feel. I turned the faucet on to allow the water to fill my small tub. I just stood there thinking how tired I was for that day.

"...sinulit nila bayad nila saken ngayong araw na to ah... Umakyat na ng tanks, andami pang natapos na paperworks."

When the water depth was enough to accommodate my pink tabo, I scooped some water started to bathe. As soon as the first drop touched me, my slow mo sequence kicked in.

My body trembled to the satisfying coldness of the liquid being poured to me. I shook my head left and right with mouth wide open as if getting hallucinations from a party pill. I let the sensation pass first before getting some more of that pleasure liquid. It was the first time that I really felt cleansing power of water. I felt not just the dirty and grime wash away, but also the stress and fatigue from that very long day.

I stepped out the bathroom squeaky clean with revived spirits.

Afternoon Thirst

 photo e03e5264-52a2-4d55-ac24-d9ddf8c28201_zps54c0a5a5.jpg

I was in the middle of thinking of a way to solve this particular concern regarding the forms when I suddenly got thirsty. I took my water bottle, which was on top of the most cluttered desk (mine) in our section, and proceeded to get some H two O in the pantry.

I was filling her up when my inattentive eyes met a gaze of someone familiar. He was holding a box of some sort. Of course, since I wasn't really expecting anyone, I helped myself with some of that hydration liquid non-nonchalantly.

When I stepped out of the pantry, curiosity got ahead of me. My head turned left and to my surprise it was prince charming. Charming as always, I thought.

"Oh, diba off mo?", I said, obviously surprised.

"Hindi ah, first day namin, pang-umaga na kami ngayon. Last day ng off namin kahapon.", he replied smiling.

I paused for five seconds and processed the information that I just heard.

Yep! Day Off na ng Group 3. Tapos pang hapon ang Group 1. Kaya tama pang umaga na yung Group 4.

"Ay! Uu nga! Wahahahaha!", I said laughing.

"Kaw talaga...", he replied smiling.

With that I went back to our office. Feeling much less stressed. My afternoon thirst was quench by that short trip to the pantry.

I was this close...

...to resigning

As perfect as my employer may seem, it still has its flaws. I proactively displayed bravado by drafting my Resignation Letter as a preemptive strike against my supposed transfer to the "other" section. It all started when rumor mongers swarmed me with gossips that I will be the one transferred since members of the section are being transferred somewhere else. Of course, I have no qualms with the work done by the other section. What I am concerned with is the immediate supervisor.

I have been there before. Being non-biodegradable with your immediate boss is really a pain. At the start, it will be fine but as the time passes, it's a glass of water held too long. It will just cause too much stress and eventually will burn me out.

The following are the words written in by supposed resignation letter. Though, I removed specific names, it still shows the essence of what I wanted them to understand.

My decision to accept my position during the onset of my hiring process was more of a personal one rather than for financial stability or for career fulfilment. I initially applied as a Technician but was reconsidered for this post after my final interview. Upon hearing of the post, which was then very vague to me, I sought counsel from my friends who are already working in the Company as well as from my former professor who is based in the City. I was advised with one thing: that the position is perfect for me. And I believe so as well. This alone is the sole reason why I accepted the job. This is also the primary reason why I declined offers, when I was still in training, to transfer to other sections.

I vividly remember that I was asked, during my interview, if what would be the reason why would leave the company. And I recall that I explicitly mentioned that I would leave the company if I will be forced to do something I am not comfortable with. I am not speaking of physical difficulties alone but heavily more on the psychosocial and emotional factors.

I am willing to stay with the company as long as I keep my position. But if that is not possible, I apologize but I dislike the new position; and I would rather not expose myself to potential excessive stress. It is unfortunate if I would leave the company in such a short period but I am adamant in my decision. I am prepared to settle any accounts because of this abrupt resignation.

One big factor why I accepted the job is because Albert told me that bagay na bagay sayo yan. I trust his judgement and here I am, loving what I'm doing, because he is right: bagay na bagay nga talaga saken.

And that's the reason why even though it is stressful in the office. I'm doing what I know I am good at.

Out SICK

 photo sick-girl-p2p4jx_zpscfe721e4.jpg

Stress finally caught up with me. I'm out sick for four (4) days. I really didn't want to go home last Tuesday. I feel like I needed to do so many things. I really feel bad leaving the others when there are tons of things to do. But it's better to prevent the possibility that I will infect the girls with my Flu.

Wooooooooooooooooooooo...

Gosh! I think I'm in for a landslide this Monday morning. But I'm in for the challenge!

USTET
Nakaraos din sa USTET kahapon. Medyo maganda ang feeling ko sa USTET this year ng mga TP4 scholars. Kaya alam kong kayang kaya nila yung exam! Sa mga hindi makakapasa, hindi talag siguro sila deserving for that. Kasi ibig sabihin nun. They are not determined enough for the slot.

Kapuso Update
Grabeh, the whole Kapuso family talaga is at a loss with the sudden parting of the talented Marky Cielo. Haaaay. Sayang na sayang. Kanina, may special sa SIS, a Marky Cielo Tribute. Tapos mamayang gabi din sa The Beat sa QTV. Grabeh lahat ng iniinterview umiiyak. Ganun talaga siguro kabaet si Marky Cielo. They affirmed na wala talagang bisyo si Marky. Kaya this is really a big shock for any of our Kapuso. May plano pa naman sana kami ni Patty pumunta dun sa wake nya, eh sa Antipolo pa eh. Layo.
