Top 5 Reasons why I blog

5. I love to talk.

I just want to share everything about me. I want to socialize by simply talking. Having a good conversation is my idea of a good time. Although you are reading a blog entry, it is also somehow listening to the author. I write my blogs in the way I would say it. If after the phrase I will laugh, I'll put a “Whahahahahahahaah!” after it. Or I would sigh, “piff!”. Bottomline is, I write the blogs in a way that you will hear me talking about it in person.

4. It's a spirit of sharing

Many people share their lives through their blogs. Some are informative, some may share the same interest with other people, others, inspiring. I don't know what category blog falls under. But I write because I know others would be interested to read it.

3. It's Stress relieving.

I'm a really busy person. I have responsibilities in school and at home. All of which are taking a toll on me. I write these because it sort of keep me relax. I also notice that when I'm doing blogs, I tend to remember things more clearly and I'm able to think more concise.

2. It's to inform my friends about my life.

As I said, I'm a really busy person. That is the primary reason why I'm always bailing out when my friends are going lakwatsa. And I don't really have time to talk to them in person either. So I resort to writing blogs so they can be updated about my life.

1. For Having friends

Although we, most of us anyway, don't know each other in person. Still, we know that we are part of the blogsite author's life when we read his/her entries. It's about sharing and then connecting with your fellow bloggers. And I can say that I'm proud to be a blogger. Kudos to all the bloggers out there! Especially my favorite ones! (tingin sa kaliwa, then kaway everlou!) Wahahahahahha!

Top 5: Titles I want to buy

It can never be denied that Independent films or Indie films are really on a boom today. A movie will only be considered "Indie" if it is a low budget movie. Not only that, Indie films doesn't use films for the shooting. A simple Digital Video camera is enough to shoot the scenes of the movie. Well, I noticed in the Indie films that are coming out today, most of their topic is about sexuality, particularly the gay sex or homosexuality. The ups and downs of gay life and at the same time, they serve as the mirror what the society looks like today, because they are really happening.

Also, sexy vcds are coming out with boys in their skimpy clothes, others with none at all.

Top 5: Books I want to buy

In general, I like to read books whose authors are Filipinos. A bunch of them are really good writers. I mean, their works have substance. But unfortunately, the masses doesn't recognize our author's profound works. The constant scenario everytime I'm looking for books at the Filipiñana section of National Bookstore is that, they all look for just one author, Bob Ong. I mean, Bob Ong is not the only Filipino author in the world! There are so many great books in the same shelf but they fail to see them. Piff! They will only read books when other people are reading them. I guess that's the trend. Oh well, here are the top 5 Filipino Authored books that I want to buy but can't because I couldn't afford it.

5: A song for my brother and other stories by Antonio Hidalgo
I was astounded by the writings at the back of the book. It states the different characters in the different stories inside. I remember something like, a college student wanting to save the life of a GRO. A successful brother who is at pain to see his brother in the life of drugs. Things like that.

4: Suddenly Stateside: Funny Essays On Pinoy Life In America by Marivi Soliven Blanco
It was really funny because it says at the back you will learn how to babysit a pet daga. Wahahahahaha!

3: Pink Men in love and other stories by Gerardo Torres
Wow! Baklang bakla! Wahahahaha! Those kind of titles really pulls my eyes.

2: Ang Ladlad 3 by J. Neil Garcia and Danton Remoto
Anthology of gay literature. I have the 1st and the 2nd, it is only today that I found out the installment.

1: Brusko Pink by Louie Cano

Top 5 old Filipino movies that I want to watch

I was watching ang Pinaka before. And the topic was Ang pinakamadramang confrontation scenes sa Filipino movies. Because of that I was able to see some great Filipino movies! I want to watch them!

  1. Saan Darating ang Umaga
Actor: Maricel Soriano vs. Nida Blanca
    Theme: Mother-daughter battle
    Favorite Confrontation line:
"Ang pagluluksa wala sa kulay at sa damit! Nasa puso! Hindi ako nakaitim dahil ayokong mag-itim! Ayokong isipin na wala na ang daddy!" - Maricel

    Comments:
Nakakaloka daw sya kasi akala mo magnanay talaga sila nyan kasi panahon daw yan ung sikat ung John n' Marsha.

  2. Ina, Kapatid, Anak
Actor: Charito Solis vs. Lolita Rodriguez
    Theme: Inagawan meets Mang-aagaw
    Favorite Confrontation line:
"Putik! Pareho kayo nang ina mo! Putik kayo pareho!" - Charito

    Comments:
Half-sisters sila dito. Grabeh!

  3. T-Bird at Ako
Actor: Nora Aunor vs. Vilma Santos
    Theme: Lesbian Affair
    Favorite Confrontation line:
"Pag nakalaya ka anino mo lang ang kasama mo! Pag minalas ka pa at umuulan pati anino mo wala!" - Nora

    Comments:
Like ko sya kasi parehong big stars yung lead cast. Tsaka ang tapang nung direktor at manunulat neto. Biruin mo yung panahon na yun, masyado pang conservative, at nagawa nila tong movie na to.

  4. Insyang
Actor: Hilda Coronel vs. Mona Liza
Theme: The Mom, The Daughter, The mother's younger lover triangle
    Favorite Confrontation line:
"Hindi ko sya inaagaw! Ako ang mahal niya hindi kayo!" - Hilda

    Comments:
Kalerkey! Naloka ako sa line na yun! Biruin mo sabihin mo yun sa nanay mo! Nakakaloka! Galing ah!

  5. Ikaw ay Akin
Actor: Nora Aunor vs. Vilma Santos
    Theme: Love Triangle vertex
    Favorite Confrontation line:
    "..." - Nora and Vilma

    Comments:
Eto daw ang pinaka the best na confrontational scene in Philippine movies. Nakakaloka dahil wala namang words! Ang sabi kasi nung introduction of panelists, ang isa raw sa essence ng magandang confrontation scene ay maingay, magalaw, may sakitan and everything. Pero etong scene nato wala. Nagtinginan sila for 3 mins and 21 seconds. No words. As if gusto nilang ipa-dub sa audience yung dialog nila. Kalerkey talaga!
